- Clean white Karate GI must be worn. No more than two badges may be worn on the front of a jacket and no markings of any kind on the jacket or the trousers.
- No watches, rings, chains, necklaces or bracelets may be worn.
- Finger and toe nails must be kept short and clean.
- Before entering and leaving the DOJO (Training Hall) you must bow from the waist.
- In the DOJO silence must be maintained - no chatting, no smoking, no gum chewing, no eating, no drinking.
- However intimate master and pupil may be outside the DOJO, inside the instructor is always called SENSEI (先生) and treated with the utmost respect. If, for whatever reason, the pupil loses respect for his master, he MUST immediately find another master.
- Punctuality at all times is essential.
- The KARATE-KA (空手家) must always respect an opponent, never losing his temper, no matter how an opponent might have behaved. Karate-Ka of inferior grade to oneself must be treated with consideration.
- Outside the DOJO or SHIAIJO (contest area), the KARATE-KA (空手家) must never use the techniques he has learned, other than in a defence of life or limb. He must never be the first to attack (Karate ni sente nashi).
- Visitors are always welcomed, subject to their observing the above rules, where applicable.
